The personalities in the "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" shot:
First of all this shot was taken by John Gellman in 75 on a day off in Athens, GA. We were there playing a club called "Between The Hedges" and staying out at some friends of ours farm in the country. The person on the left is Freddie Cullaro. He was a friend of ours from Tampa who started out as our road manager and later moved into the production manager's chair. He was one of the smart guys in our group and a natural born leader.  The next guy is Rex Ray. He was our sound engineer and he was the only technical qualified person we had on our crew. He was and still is one of the best live sound engineers in the business and he went on to be the house engineer for such great acts as Kenny Rogers. To this day he works for Claire Brothers Audio and is a legend in the live sound mixing business. The guy between Monte and Frank is David Cloud. David was unlike most of us as he was formally educated with a college degree. He was from Wachula, Florida and he came to work for the band very early on. His job description was that of road manager and he would whip a man's ass if he had it coming!!! We loved David and still do.  The guy between Frank and Billy was Charlie Brusco. He was the bands manager. Charlie was to become partners with Alan Walden and together they would take the band to the big time. The day this shot was taken Alan was in the hotel room recovering from the night before and everyone in this picture was working on a serious hang over. That was business as usual back then and that's why you see so many cans of beer in the pictures. This is a candid snapshot of the early believers who helped us get where we going. These were, and still are "Brothers Of The Southland"!!!!

I'd like to thank all the true Outlaw fans for coming out and supporting our new group. As I've said before we were humbled by the response we received at our recent shows. This band has had years to absorb the loss of both Billy and Frank but taking the stage to perform an Outlaws show without Hughie was a step off into the unknown. Regardless how much we rehearsed or how much effort was put into making this a professional and honorable experience it was still a daunting task. I'm well aware of all the negative comments that have been made in recent months concerning this undertaking and I understand how this might seem inappropriate to some given Hughie's connection to this band and it's music but let me make one point very clear. The idea of reforming this group and going out to perform this music was done out of respect and it was done with the utmost care. As an original member of this group along with Monte we surrounded ourselves with like minded musical individuals with an emotional and physical connection to this group. We can't go back and change the way things are but we can go forward with a sense of fairness to Hughie's family and a commitment to the level of musicianship that is the hallmark of this great band. My hope is that in time everyone will see this for what it is, an honest effort to preserve what once was, and an opportunity to carry this band on into the future...

YOU ROCK! Thank you all for supporting us out on the first leg of the 2008 Outlaws Tour. I know that some of you had to brave some terrible weather conditions to cheer the band on! And to my band, crew, and everyone that helped us through the hard times- you are the best! Thanks for making this one of the most rocking times in my life! You did it, and you did it with true Southern Style. And to Henry Paul, thank you for all that you have done to make this tour a reality.

I look forward to seeing everyone down in Florida for the next portion of the 2008 Outlaw tour…

What can I say? I am completely overwhelmed! Thank you all so very much!
I think that I spent as much time looking at each and everyone one of you as you all did watching the band play.  To actually see the excitement in your eyes was a feeling that I can’t even describe and what we got back was the answer that we had hoped for-we had made the right decision and that the Outlaw Revival is on its way!
Here is to 2008, and Long Live the Legacy!

Just a short note from the road. After our third show in as many days I'd like to share my impression of the Outlaws "Revival Tour" thus far. First of all from the bands perspective we are having a great time playing this music. Everyone's spirits are high and the warm reception from the fans has been amazing. I feel that this music has taken on a life of it's own and we are here to care for it and help it find it's way back out to Outlaw fans everywhere. It's really about these great songs being played by people who have an emotional connection to them and a cast of players with pride in their part of this incredible revival. I can't tell you how good it makes me feel to have an entire audience extend their sincere thanks to us for our effort and the powerful connection between the band and the fans. I am so happy we decided to do this and we are humbled by your response .
Thank You!!!!

Welcome Everyone!
I can’t tell you how great it is to be back. There have been a lot of people working very hard to make this all possible. I know that you have all wondered what would happen. The truth is, we didn't know ourselves for quite a while. This was a long process for us just to get to this point. At times it brought us a lot of joy and at times a lot of sadness. With this new Web Site we would like to remember the lives of Billy Jones, Frank O'Keefe, and Hughie Thomasson as well as build a new future for the band. To all of their families, we thank you and appreciate everything that you have done. Henry and I would also like to send our condolences to the family of Frank O’Keefe whose mother Dottie passed away recently. She will be missed.

You can all look forward to a lot of the past, as well as the future, in the coming year from the Outlaws…

Welcome to the new Outlaws website. We have designed this site to unite all Outlaw fans together as we pick up the pieces and move forward. Losing Billy and Frank was devastating to the faithful Outlaw nation and losing Hughie recently could have spelled an end to this band, but Monte and I had a long talk after Hughie's funeral and we committed to the idea of putting this group back together. We knew the risks involved and we were aware of the enormous task at hand but we have never backed down from any challenge, and we are all doing the work necessary to make this great. With the support of Hughie's family and our fans we vow to once more raise the Outlaw banner in a Revival tour this year and carry that flag high and proud on into the future. Come and see for yourself what can be done with a little talent and a lifetime of inspiration!!!
